The engine (3.4) to my oldmobile silhouette (2000 Van) is bad and i can not find the similar one to replace, did anyone know of any other kind of engine that can fit it to it? Can engine like that of Chevy venture or Pontiac montana fit it?

Yes, it is exactly the same engine. They have intake manifold problems, and gasket leaks, not to mention clattering and rattling as a result. Newer 3.4%26#039;s are improved, and 2000 should be one of those? Other engines are the Lumina/Malibu 3.1 or Olds Intrique/Pontiac G6 3.5 which is a hot number!
